Constance Dalenberg,
Ph.D. is the founder and director of theTrauma Research Institutein San Diego, CA and a Professor of Clinical Psychology
at Alliant International University. Dr.
Dalenberg is recognized as an international expert on trauma disclosure and
trauma therapy. As the director of the Trauma Research Institute, she has
designed and supervised over 50 research studies on the consequences of trauma.
Her research on trauma symptoms and trauma treatment has appeared in clinical
and forensic journals. Her private practice centers on the treatment and
forensic evaluation of survivors of trauma. As an expert witness, she has
testified in over 50 trials. In 2002, Dr. Dalenberg, received the award for
outstanding clinical contributions (in recognition of Countertransference and the Treatment of Trauma, 2002, awarded by
the International Society for the Study of Dissociation). She has served on the
Board of the International Society of Traumatic Stress Studies, and on the
editorial boards of the Journal of Traumatic
Stress, Child Maltreatment, Journal
of Trauma and Dissociation, Journal of Trauma Practice and Journal of Child Sexual Abuse.
