Based in San Diego, CA, my psychology practice proudly offers premier telehealth services to residents of California, Hawaii, Florida, and Virginia. Since March 2020, I've embraced a fully remote therapy model, conducting all sessions through secure videoconferencing or phone calls. While I no longer provide in-person appointments, my dedication to delivering accessible, high-quality virtual therapy continues to thrive, ensuring you receive the best psychological care wherever you are.
Telehealth, also known as telepsychology, telebehavioral health, or telemedicine, is a form of therapy conducted across distances through electronic means, such as interactive videoconferencing or telephone. This approach combines the best practices of traditional psychotherapy with the unique advantages offered by today's technology.
In adherence to state regulations, my online therapy services are presently limited to individuals residing in the U.S. states where I hold an active license, including:
In 2019, the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT®) was established to facilitate the provision of telehealth services for psychologists across state lines. Presently, over 40 states have become part of the PSYPACT network. Psychologists seeking to practice under PSYPACT obtain an E.Passport as part of the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT™).
I currently possess a PSYPACT E.Passport (issued 05/20/21, Mobility Number 7933), enabling seamless practice in any of the PSYPACT states. However, since I am presently located in California, which is not a PSYPACT member, this provision is not applicable at the moment.
Excitingly, effective February 1, 2024, California has introduced PSYPACT legislation (Bill AB-2051). Pending the successful passage of this bill, I anticipate expanding my services to clients in other states, embracing the opportunities provided by PSYPACT.
To engage in therapy via the internet, you will need:
If you have any questions or you would like to discuss the possibility of setting up a telehealth appointment, please let me know. I look forward to hearing from you.
In 2022, I earned the Telepsychology Competencies Credential (TCC), a testament to my proficiency in adapting traditional psychological practices to the digital realm. This credential reflects my commitment to providing ethical and effective telepsychology services, ensuring I stay current and competent in meeting the evolving mental health needs of individuals in today's dynamic landscape.
